Uganda Embassy Rome celebrates the life and memory of the late MARTHA Okumu Ringa; cherished colleague and dear friend to many of us. It’s hard to put into words the profound impact Martha had on our lives and on this workplace. 

From the moment Martha joined our Embassy in September, 2023, she brought an infectious energy and a positive spirit that brightened our days. She had a unique ability to lift our spirits, whether it was through a warm smile, a kind word, or a well-timed joke that made even the toughest days feel manageable. 

Martha was not only a dedicated professional but also a mentor to many. Her expertise and willingness to share knowledge helped countless colleagues grow in their roles. She believed in teamwork and collaboration, always promoting a sense of community that made our workplace feel like a second home.

Beyond the office, Martha had a passion for Christ, and very often reiterated her trust in God regardless of the challenges she faced. shared stories and experiences that reminded us of the importance of work-life balance. 

As we remember Martha, let us celebrate the joy she brought to our lives. Let us honor her legacy by continuing to foster the kindness, camaraderie, and dedication that Martha exemplified every day. 

We will miss Martha dearly, but her spirit will forever remain in our hearts and in the fabric of this workplace.
