As per the usual practice, members of the diaspora community in Italy gather every year to interact and acquaint themselves. H.E Ambassador Elizabeth Paula Napeyok uses this opportunity to reiterate Missions’ commitment to serving the diaspora community and to encourage Ugandans to strengthen the unity amongst themselves.
The Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in Rome in conjunction with the Rotary International Club Rome - Italy and the Bright GOALS Scholarship Project held a fundraising Gala Dinner for girls in Northern Uganda. The event was presided over by H.E. Amb. Elizabeth Paula Napeyok and present were Staff of the Uganda Embassy, Rome.
Her Excellency Ambassador Elizabeth Paula Napeyok was pleased to receive a donation of five (5) paintings from Mr. Doriano Lamba whose father (Mr. Giuseppe Lamba) bought the paintings from Uganda way back in the 1940s during world war II. The paintings are a depiction of life in Ugandan communities.
During the 47th Session of the Governing Council of IFAD, Uganda’s delegation headed by Hon Dr. Rwamirama Bright Kanyontore, Minister of State for Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (Animal Industry) comprising H.E. Elizabeth Paula Napeyok - Ambassador and Permanent Representative to FAO, WFP and IFAD - and Rtd Maj Gen.
The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda Ms. Robinah Nabbanja came to Rome, Italy to represent His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at the Italy Africa Summit in January, 2024. On this occasion the Italian Government introduced the “Mattei Plan: a bridge for common growth”, which includes interventions in various priority areas such as education and training, health and agriculture, water and energy.
His Excellency , President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kagauta Museveni was in Belgrade, Serbia for a two day official working visit.
The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Ms. Robinah Nabbanja came to Italy to attend the 4th European Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East (ECAM Council) Annual Summit as a Keynote Speaker and Guest of Honour. She was accompanied by the Director General of Uganda Investment Authority Mr. Robert Mukiza.
Ambassador Elizabeth Paula Napeyok presented Letters of Credence to His Excellency, Mr. Zoran Milanovic, President of the Republic of Croatia on 19th July 2021 in Zagreb at a ceremony attended by Government officials from the Republic of Slovenia. Ambassador Napeyok conveyed to H.E Mr. Zoran Milanovic warm greetings from H.E President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the People of Uganda. The Ambassador and H.E Mr. Zoran Milanovic discussed a range of issues for enhancing the bilateral and diplomatic relations between the two countries, including; health, education, trade, and tourism.
